按照2000年到2009年的習慣讀法一般用第一種

1．年份
關于四位數年份的讀法有下列幾種情形：
1）一般情況下，將表示年份的四個數字按前后分為兩組，每一組的數字都按基數詞來讀。例如：
1865年讀作 eighteen sixty-five
1998年讀作 nineteen ninety-eight
2）如果前兩個數字旦啟為非“零”數字，后兩位數分別為“零”，則先讀出前兩位數，然后將后模帶如面的兩個“零”讀為 hundred。例如：
1900年讀作 nineteen hundred
1800年讀作 eighteen hundred
3）第三個數字為“零”（其他數字不是“零”）的年份的讀法應當將該“零”讀為O〔u〕。行亮例如：1809年讀作 eighteen O nine
4）關于千年的一些讀法。
2000年讀作 two thousand
2008年讀作 two thousand and eight（或twenty O eight）
1008年讀作 one thousand and eight（或ten O eight）
另外，還有一些非四位數的年份，它們有兩種讀法：一種是按照基數詞的方法來讀，另一種是一個一個數字來讀。例如：
531BC讀作 five three one BC（或five hundred and thirty-one BC）
